Origin of Wallo Wickwhisper

The Dice Tribe folks are the sort of players who spend a lot of time thinking about the imaginary lives of our characters. We're all writers and/or actors on some level, and so when we were talking about what an "Episode/Session 0" might look like, we eventually came around to a fun idea that we hadn't really seen before ...

?What if each of us wrote a monologue in the voice of our character, telling a piece of our character's story Then what if we performed that monologue, and produced it with the same quality of sound and music that we use in the regular Dice Tribe series? And that's exactly what we did.

While we're still about a month out from launch, we want to start sharing our characters with you. This week, we polled Twitter about which character they wanted us to reveal first. By a vote of 54-53, Twitter chose to reveal Wallo Wickwhisper, the human ranger and scribe-errant of Candlekeep.

We'll be doing more character reveal polls every Tuesday up until we launch, on the Dice Tribe Twitter feed. In the meantime, enjoy Wallo's origin monologue below, written and performed by Doug Davis. And if you like it, share this on your social media or leave us a comment below! :)

Full disclosure: These are my son's initial comments. I agree though. Really enjoying the story (the soundtrack is GREAT). Appreciate how Donathin stays true to Purpose as a character. From experience, we know how difficult it can be not to "meta-game". The best example is the fact he doesn't even know East from West and that would be so true for Purpose. Thank you for a fun diversion.

This is a thread to discuss Episode Two! Let us know your thoughts and feedback -- we love chatting about D&D! And remember that you can download the episode on iTunes and Stitcher ! If you enjoy the show, leave us a 5-star review and share us with a friend! We have a lot of fun rolling dice and telling stories, and want to share that fun with as many folks as possible.
